The White family came to Virginia from Scotland in the early 1700s and settled in Albemarle, Culpeper, and Orange Counties,
Virginia. Among the leaders in Albemarle County were Garrett White, John White, Nicholas Murrell Page, Samuel Overton Moon,
Samuel Massie Page, and James Garrett White.
