From the introduction: "In the Spring of 2006, Julie Bargmann's studio and Daniel Bluestone's community history workshop collaborated efforts to propose that density at the Charlottesville City Yard is possible without erasing the historic fabric of the neighborhood, and without displacing the long-standing community.
This booklet was produced by the students in the community history workshop as and[sic] introduction to the research that formed the basis for the Y.I.M.B.Y. development alternatives explored in the Bargmann design studio."
