Anne H. Giles earned a B.A. in History in 1981 and an MAED in Education, Curriculum and Instruction, both from Virginia Tech. She married Brad Rimbey, who graduated from Virginia Tech in 1983.

The collection consists of a paper by Anne H. Giles titled, "Interviews with Women Graduates of Virginia Tech." The paper, written for a presents portions of interviews of nine Virginia Tech graduates from 1953 to 1966. Several interviewees went on to work for Virginia Tech, including Lucy Lee Lancaster, Laura Jane Harper, and Dorothy Bodell.
