The Stimmel Distilling Company Form was purchased by Special Collections in 2010.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the Stimmel Distilling Company Form commenced and was completed in June 2010.
The Stimmel Distilling Company was a distiller of liquors and beers located in Norfolk, Virginia. The company appears in the 1915 and 1916 Norfolk City directories. In 1916, the state of Virginia banned the sale of alcohol, which may explain why the distillery does not appear in subsequent directories.
