Bobby Foushee Collection was donated to Special Collections in 2010.
The processing, arrangement, and description of the Bobby Foushee Collection was completed in March 2011.
Bobby Ray Fouschee was a member of the V.P.I. Class of 1956, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He is from Martinsville, Virginia. While at V.P.I., he was a member of AICE, DKE, Seminole Club, Intramurals, and Ring Dance Favor Committee.
The collection includes yearbook photos of Foushee; receipt from purchase of 1956 Bugle, and a letter and envelope. The letter is missing the bottom third, but appears to be from the Civilian Student Body and is addressed to "Dear Senator."
The letter explains the suspension and punishment of 104 male students who apparently raided the rooms of female Radford College students. In order to cover the cost of lost articles for the immediate future, the author requests permission to use treasury funds until the VPI students can repay the money the following semester. The identity of the "Dear Senator" is unknown, as is the writer of letter.
