Myrvin Lafe Pence was born November 16, 1898 in Weyers Cave, Virginia. He attended Virginia Tech and graduated in 1922. He was a cattle farmer in Augusta County for almost 50 years. In 1928, he married Martha Huff Cline. They had two children. He died on February 8, 1996.
The Myrvin Lafe Pence Scrapbook and Class Photograph contains photographs, newspaper clippings, tickets, and other memorabilia from Pence's time as a student at Virginia Tech from 1918 to 1922. There are photographs of campus buildings, the Corp of Cadets, students, and football; newspaper clippings; tickets; and other memorabilia. The collection also includes a large photograph of the Class of 1922.
