Biographical/Historical Information
William Monroe High School is located in Stanardsville, Virginia. It opened in 1925 as a one-story frame building with eight classrooms. In 1934 two more classrooms were added to the rear of the building. A new high school opened in 1962.
Scope and Content
This is a scrapbook created by the second year history class at Monroe High School in 1943. It includes pamphlets for US Savings Bonds during World War II; illustrations of famous Americans; and pamphlets and brochures for Skyline Drive and Charlottesville.
