Biographical/Historical Information
The Virginia WPA Historical Inventory Project was created in the late 1930s by the Virginia Writers' Project. Field workers documented, accessed, and photographed historical buildings and landmarks.
Scope and Content
This is a collection of WPA surveys conducted in the 1930s of buildings in Albemarle County, Virginia. Robert E. Hannum was the field worker for this project. The survey reports for the buildings may include a description of the building and its surroundings, a history of the building, a chronological list of owners, and the building's historical significance.
