Biographical/Historical Information

Thomas Gordon emigrated from Ireland in 1750 and settled in Albemarle County near present day Gordonsville.

Scope and Content

This is a manuscript account written by Charles Ulysses Gordon about his ancestor Thomas Gordon, discussing Gordon's military service during the Revolutionary War. The manuscript is addressed to Mrs. Nancy W. Duke, librarian at the Charlottesville Public Library.
