Acquisition Information
This collection of scrapbooks have been donated by members of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Albemarle Chapter No. 1, UDC No. 154. Scrapbooks from 2010-2015 were donated by Amanda Kutch, President of UDC Albemarle Chapter 1.
Historical Information
The United Daughters of the Confederacy, Albemarle Chapter No. 1, was organized by Kate Huntington Noland, wife of University of Virginia Professor James Mercer Garnett in May of 1894.
Scope and Content
The collection records the activities of its members. It consists of scrapbooks with memorabilia: newsletters, news-clippings, membership directories, photographs, invitations, programs.
