Dinwiddie sent clothing for companies at Will's Creek and those under Captain Lewis. Gene ral Braddock's warrant for recruiting troops {no longer enclosed} must not delay Stephen's march, but if Stephen is successful in his recruiting, he'll gain the favor of the general. Letterbook copy published in R.A. Brock's edition of the official correspondence of Robert Dinwiddie, vol. II, p. 13 (Publications of the Virginia Historical Society, vol. IV, 1884).
