John Copedge lived in Queens County, MD.
Scope and Content
Copy, 1784, of the will of John Copedge, Queen Anne's County {Md.}. Bequeaths to Willia m and John Roals {sic} {Rowles} the tract of land upon which they live, to be divided between them by William Cowsry and John Wells. T hey must allow Copedge's family to continue to have timber rights on the land. Bequeaths to his brother Philip Copedge the plantation "Enden Spring." Should Philip die without he irs, the plantation will go to Copedge's wife and her heirs. Bequeaths to his daughter El izabeth and his yet unborn child the rest of his lands. If the child is a boy he is to ha ve first choice. Bequeaths one silver tankar d to the Kent Island church. This copy used in litigation between Resin Rowles and Jacob Carter.
