Biographical/Historical Information
John W. Affleck was a Winchester was a resident of Winchester, VA. He was born on January 1, 1850 at his family home, known as "Bid-a-Wee," located on Peyton Street in the City of Winchester to Alexander G. Affleck and Ann E. Hoover. He worked for many years in the business of selling agricultural tools and machinery with his brother Scott A. Affleck. He married Rosa Kerfoot on December 26, 1883. The couple had five children. Affleck died on December 27, 1930.
Scope and Content
The John W. Affleck Collection contains Huber family papers from Holland and Pennsylvania. Included are the original papers written in Dutch and an English translation. These papers range from letters to baptism certificate and range from 1733 to 1843.
