Processing Information
In order to streamline the process of applying collection numbers, Special Collections staff completed a large-scale renumbering campaign in the spring of 2017. This collection was previously cataloged as SC 2086 .
Scope and Content
The collection is comprised of four reports documenting the forest composition and condition of certain portions of federally owned lands in northern Rockingham and Page counties; and in western Frederick and western Shenandoah counties in Virginia and southeastern Hampshire and eastern Hardy counties, West Virginia. Details about local markets for forest products; local history of tanbark, iron, and other industries; and local fire history are also given. Titles include:
