Administrative History
James Madison University's Office of Admissions is responsible for communication outreach to recruit new students to the university. Part of their duties include communication with prospective students as well as evaluating applications for decisions on admission.
Scope and Content
The Office of Admissions Annual Reports consist of 30 folders containing the yearly "annual report of activities of admission and student aid programs." The reports present student enrollment statistics, freshman class profiles, and market areas for enrollment. The collection is missing annual reports for the years 1962-1963, 1963-1964, and 1964-1965. Some of the earlier annual reports include a map of Virginia with data points charted on top to display how many students enrolled are from a specific county. In addition, some files also include "profiles" for prospective students that display admission information and financial aid information.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged chronologically.
