Biographical Note

In the 1850 U. S. Census, there is a Richard Faraday working in Wythe County, Virginia, as a wool spinner. He is listed as being 35 years old and his birthplace as England.

Scope and Content

The Richard Faraday Collection consists of photocopies of a formula book for making lead shot at the Shot Tower in Wythe County, Virginia. The collection also includes genealogical notes on Faraday's family.
