Biographical Note
Leslie Duncan Kline (1871-1953) was born in Frederick County, Virginia. He graduated from Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College in 1896 with a B.S. in General Science. During his time in Blacksburg, he served as the President of the Maury Literary Society. Kline served as the Frederick County School Superintendent from 1917-1949. He died September 22, 1953, in Winchester, Virginia.
