Scope and Content

This collection contains sheet music to the spiritual "You Must Shun Ole Satan", and artwork from similar songs. The "You Must Shun Ole Satan" cover illusrates a Black congregation and a member with Satan on his back. The music for this song is 3 pages, but there are another two pages of great artwork used to promote other songs. "Carry Me Back to Old Virginny" shows an old Black man longing for his Virginia youth, and "De Golden Wedding" shows an active wedding reception with Black people dancing.
