Scope and Contents

Letter from L. Guild, Medical Director, Army of Northern Va., Camp near Culpepper Court House, Va., to [?], no place. He requests lists of medical officers, hospital stewards, nurses and attendants from the division who were left behind at Gettysburg or any other point behind enemy lines with the sick and wounded. The letter contains the official signatures of Hunter McGuire, Medical Director, 2nd Corps, Army of Northern Va., Samuel B. Morrison, Chief Surgeon, Early's Division, and Surgeon Bland, 31st Va. Regiment.
