Collection is open to all researchers. Scope and Contents

Collection of posters, pamphlets, buttons, booklets, and apparel related to various social movements from 2009-2018. Many of the posters were created by the attendees of these movements, like the Women's March on Washington in January of 2017, Black Lives Matter, Climate Change, and Immigration Policy Demonstrations throughout 2017. Majority of the pamphlets, booklets, and zines are from Occupy Philadelphia / Occupy Wall Street Demonstrations in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Collection includes some digital material, which requires at least 72 hours advanced notice for access. Accruals to this collection are expected.

    White hand made poster, "Still Nasty, Still Voting" with blue, red and black lettering with female signs drawn along the bottom. Blue hand crocheted pussy hat with a red, white and blue colored button that states, "Women's March on Washington, January 21, 2017." Center of the button depicts the silhouettes of children's faces. The poster, hat, and button were worn by Emily Zinger who attended the Women's March on Washington in January of 2017 along with her mother, father, brother, and the families of her two uncles. The hat was crocheted by her mother.

    Program for a service held in Williamsburg, Va. to honor those who were killed in the mass shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburg, Pa. Community churches involved in the vigil include Temple Beth El, Williamsburg Unitarian Universalist Church, New Zion Baptist Church, St. Martin's Episcopal Church, First Baptist Church of Williamsburg, Williamsburg Christian Church, St. Stephen's Lutheran Church, and the Wesley Foundation at the College of William and Mary.
