Biographical Information:

George Pettit was the postmaster of Fabius, Onondaga County, N. Y. His wife had children by a previous husband. Her sons were Willis Boothe and Lucius Boothe of Pittsburgh, Pa. Pettit had a daughter or step-daughter named Emmeline who married Rev. William Corbin of Logansport, Cass County, Ind. Scope and Contents

Correspondence, 1834-1841, of George Pettit, postmaster of Fabius, Onondaga County, New York and his wife with Lucius A. Boothe, and Willis Boothe describing business in Pittsburgh, Pa. and with Rev. William Corbin and his wife, Mrs. Emmeline Corbin. Includes letters of William Corbin concerning marrying Emmeline Corbin.
