A letter from John D. Rockefeller Jr. to William C. Bitting Jr. relaying his condolences on the passing of Mr. Bitting's father. A sheet of stationary is pasted to the back of the letter with a drawing of steamship in the left top corner, and the words "On Board Cunard 'Laconia'" on the top right.
