Biographical / Historical

Hulon L. Willis, Jr. was born on February 16th, 1954 in Petersburg, Virginia, and graduated from William & Mary in 1977. Following graduation, Willis began a long career in criminal justice and security. He worked for various criminal justice agencies in New Jersey, Virginia, and Washington, DC. His father, Hulon, Sr. was the first Black American student to attend William & Mary in 1956. Hulon, Jr. passed away on January 16th, 2024. Hulon, Jr. was a member of multiple social organizations including the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity,and was an active alumnus of William & Mary and Howard University.

Scope and Contents

Collection contains a single funeral program commemorating the life of Hulon L. Willis, Jr. who passed away on January 16th, 2024. The program includes a biography of his life, the order of the service, a song, prayer, as well as acknowledgments and special thanks.
