Biographical / Historical
Eli Thomas Estlack, 1927-2018, was born on Purgatory Run Road in Tyler County West Virginia.Thomas and was the son of Whitney C. Estlack and Georgia Henthorn Estlack . He was educated in the Tyler County school system, Salem College and West Virginia University. He was a veteran of the US Navy. His first job was with Wetzel County School System as an instructor of veterans, 1949-50. He then went on to work for the US Department of Agriculture-Soil Conservation Service in Nicholas and Kanawha Counties 1951-67. He finished his career in Morgantown at the Soil Conservation Service State Office as Personnel Officer, 1967-1969, and State Administrative Officer, 1970-1977.
