Records regarding the history of Monongalia County, West Virginia.
Boxes 1-14 contain: clippings and miscellaneous printed materials relating to Monongalia county history; genealogical compilations and correspondence relating to the genealogy of Monongalia county families, prepared by Thomas Ray Dille; business correspondence of the society, 1924-1927; correspondence and records of the West Virginia Historical Society, ca. 1925-1931; miscellaneous court records, family letters and other manuscripts relating to Monongalia County, ca. 1827-1910; and various Civil Works Administration forms and records for Monongalia County, 1933-1935. Included are photographs and miscellaneous issues of newspapers.
Box 15 contains artifacts: a United States Flag with 46 stars (ca. 1908-1912) and a "spoon from the kit of Hauk, M.D. [sic] used by him during [the] Crimean War" (ca. 1853-1856).
