Includes correspondence, notes, articles, genealogical material, a typed manuscript, an account book, and two photographs.
Crawford's correspondence regards subjects such as literature, genealogy, and other topics. Genealogical material relates
to the Crawford and allied families, including the Brown, Hodges, and Wilson families. The manuscript, by Crawford, is entitled
"Pittsburgh as Viewed from Down River: Some Nineteenth Century Glimpses of the Growing City, Including a New Account of the
1884 Flood". The account book, kept by John A. Crawford of Holliday's Cove, Hancock County, West Virginia from 1864-1885,
documents vending of goods such as flour, molasses, and tobacco, among other items.
