Scope and Contents
Papers of Neal Heflin and his daughter, Lois Heflin. Includes family papers, West Virginia University student records and publications (the Heflins were WVU students), and materials regarding West Virginia history and tourism.
Box 1: West Virginia University Material. This box contains materials relating to the history of WVU as well as Neal and Lois Heflin's time there as students. Materials include photographs, postcards, football tickets, football programs, student directories, and course catalogs.
Box 2: Heflin Family and West Virginia Historical Materials. This box includes material relating to the Heflin family, particularly Neal and Lois Heflin. Included in Heflin family materials are photographs of Lois as a child, 2 postcards addressed to Lois Heflin signed by Jimmy and Rosalyn Carter, and a copy of a history of the B&O Railroad written by Lois Heflin. West Virginia historical materials includes B&O Railroad timetables, First Methodist Church Directory from 1961-62, 1958 Bridgeport High School Yearbook, and a program for the West Virginia Semi-Centennial Celebration, among other materials.
Box 3: West Virginia Historical Materials. This box includes West Virginia tourism, conservation and wildlife publications, various high-school newsletters, items relating to the Monongahela West Penn Public Service Co., and other material.
